Steering gear-Hazard of low viscosity of hydraulic steering rack oil

Hydraulic steering gear manufacturers remind: When using hydraulic oil, you must first choose the right viscosity. The viscosity of the hydraulic oil required for hydraulic equipment is generally given by the equipment manufacturer. The common hydraulic oil viscosity is between ISO22 and ISO68 (equivalent to 150-300 SUS or SSU). The viscosity of the hydraulic oil should not be too large or too small. Hydraulic oils with low viscosity are relatively rare and have the following hazards:

1. The low viscosity of the hydraulic oil is prone to internal leakage.

2. Due to the low viscosity and insufficient oil film thickness, the hydraulic components may be worn and jammed. Especially when the hydraulic pump is working under high load conditions, the viscosity is too small to cause the wear and running failure of the hydraulic pump.

3. The low viscosity of the hydraulic oil may cause oil leakage inside the steering gear cylinder,

causing loss of the output efficiency of the hydraulic oil pump, resulting in excessive travel time or slow operation.

 4. The viscosity of the hydraulic oil is low. If the internal leakage is caused, the operating temperature will increase.
